Introductie

The function of IT specialist engineering is situated within Distributed Services (DS) in the System Engineering department, specifically the sub-department Airport Specific (AS). DS is part of the Group Organization of Air France KLM (AFKL).

DS is responsible for delivering agreed ICT services to the business where the goal is to realize the optimal and efficient operation of the ICT infrastructure. The availability and performance must meet the set requirements and the operation must also be realized cost-efficiently.     

 

Within AFKL IT, Distributed Services department, the Airport Specific team is in charge of the following activities:

  • Software (in general middleware) development and maintenance typically for the worldwide CUTE environment and internally for the AFKL Group (AFKL)
  • NGK CUSS Kiosks (AFKL)
  • Printing and scanning solutions, among others biometrics, RFID (AFKL)
  • Emulators (AF)
  • Office Automation (AF) 
  • Multi-Functional Printers   (AFKL)
  • Information Displays (Clever Displays, Microsoft Surface hub)
  • Time registration devices (KL) 

 

The activity of the department Airport Specific is transversal, working with all Business and IT departments within AFKL and is largely internationally oriented.

Wat ga je doen?

The Airport Specific team is an Air France KLM mixed team and is looking for a software developer who is competent to both develop and deploy middleware solutions for internal AFKL environment and the world wide Common Use environment (CUTE).  
Furthermore to maintain and support the CUSS development environment for the three NGK kiosk application Product teams. Knowledge of Airport Specific devices like kiosks, baggage label printers, MSR, scanning devices or boarding pass printers is a pre.           

As an IT specialist engineering Airport Specific you will

 

  • design, develop, maintain and support software/middleware solutions  to be used in the Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) environment
  • design, develop, maintain and support software/middleware solutions for distributed services for AFKL,   like printing services and other new services
  • analyze opportunities, propose solutions to achieve synergy on AFKL Airport Specific software / middleware solutions
  • design, develop, maintain and support the development environment for the kiosk application Product Teams

You will participate in business projects and lead technical projects like LCM projects.   
Realizing adjustments of the ICT infrastructure is part of your job: design, engineer, develop, install, configure, transfer to deployment, advice Product Owner (PO), document and maintain procedures.  
Contribute and execute to internal improvement process. Help with analysis and solving problems.

Waar zijn wij naar op zoek?

You are an IT specialist as middleware developer, you like challenges, innovation and the Common Use world (CUTE and/or CUSS). You can easily adapt yourself to change and you are willing to work in a mixed team, working in an agile way. You are a team worker. You are innovative, you can run technical projects, evaluate architecture impacts and make proposals for decision making. 
You have an engineering degree or equivalent training on University of applied science.
You have significant experience with Windows software development and operational procedures. The position requires to be proactive, to bring a technical vision and to be able to learn new technologies.  The sense of service to the customer and respect of commitments are essential to the success of the mission. You are a Dutch resident.

Specifications
Travel:

  • Frequent travelling (once a month) required between Amsterdam and Paris and on a project basis also travelling to other worldwide destinations (few times/year) mainly to CUTE providers.

Study level:

  • University of applied science / HBO or WO

Technical Skills, domains that need an Enterprise level (mandatory), minimum 2-3 years experience:

  • Windows software and middleware development with airport specific peripherals.
  • Development tooling: Java, C, C++, C#, Angular, Maven, GIT, Jira, Devnet, Dockers.
  • Kiosks (CUSS), home grown CUTE applications, airport specific printing solutions.

The way of working is based on Agile way of working.

Salaris

Max. EUR 4.500,- gross per month. Depends on education and relevant working experience.
