Are you looking for an exciting application security internship at one of the largest employers in the Netherlands? And do the abbreviations ‘OWASP’ and ‘RFI’ ring a bell? Your desk will be in the Point of View building at Schiphol-Rijk. This building and the IT solutions support the “New Ways of Working” which is based on trust, more autonomy and self-responsibility, where time and place of your activities are not fixed. We aim for a better work-live balance, higher employee satisfaction, which should lead to higher productivity and agility.
The aim is to reach as much people as possible both at KLM and Air France that are involved in applications development process, in order to inspire them to take interest in Application security. So you will be continuously on the move.
Here at KLM we pro-actively address application security issues through a variety of measures. E.g. by means of creating IT security awareness throughout the organization or by performing manual penetration tests, static code analysis and automated dynamic application testing.
You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on application security experience while working with seasoned security specialists.
Together with our Application Security Expert, you will engage in activities to build an application security aware community within KLM (e.g. hosting a security community, encourage knowledge sharing write blog posts). You will be offering guidance and advice to developers regarding application security. Also you will participate in setting up application security training programs for developers. In the context of awareness and education.
You are an IT student (HBO/WO) with a strong affinity for application security.
You possess perfect communication and presenting skills. You speak fluent English. You have gained application and security experience through CTF’s or bug bounty programs. You have attention to detail and you are analytical and organized. Furthermore, you will have access to people with a wide range of IT expertise (e.g. development environment, web and mobile development, testing etc.)
Finally, you should be available to start your internship in September. The internship will be 4 to 5 days a week for a 6-month period.
An excellent learning experience in a dynamic organization in which you will play an important role. You will have the opportunity to develop considerably on both a personal and professional level.
One of the advantages of a KLM internship is the association by and for interns called ‘KLM Taxibaan’. This ‘student association’ helps you build your network and arranges various excursions within the KLM organization.
You will also receive an internship allowance.
